Why Attend METROCON Expo & Conference?
METROCON has something for everyone. Whether you need to find some new resources, fulfill your continuing education requirements, scout for new talent or collaborators, expand your design practice, connect with longtime industry friends, establish some new working relationships, or possibly even some romantic ones (it could happen!), this show’s for you.
METROCON is easy on you. The expo, CEUs, Keynote, Student Programming, and Thursday night Happy Hour are all in one building, so you don’t have to go running from place to place. Plus, all the exhibitors are in one large, high-ceilinged, daylight-filled room with wide aisles, so you won’t feel like a mouse navigating an underground maze.
METROCON is affordable. As long as you pre-register online, you can attend both days of the trade show for free. Depending on your Membership Status* you can take any amount of CEUs for a flat fee of $75 (Members) or $150 (non-Members). Plus, you get a complimentary drink ticket for the Thursday night Happy Hour.
METROCON means business. Our regional show may not be as big and beautiful as the national shows (or as expensive), but IT WORKS, and this year we are collecting more data from both you and our exhibitors so that we can do a better, more targeted job of matchmaking.
METROCON is making some exciting changes. We want to create the best possible experience for you, so we're bringing on new partners from the built environment to expand our geographic and demographic reach, as well as increasing the quality of our offerings to make the show more valuable to you.
METROCON has ♥. The A&D industry volunteers who govern this show are passionate about bringing our regional built environment community together to make connections, advance careers, and do business. We want you to have a worthwhile experience because it makes us happy. It’s as simple as that.
A Few Happy Attendees
Metrocon is a very valuable resource to the Design Community. The Continuing Education for TBAE compliance, the in-person product update, and particularly the annual reunion of designers and reps that we have not talked to in a long time are all priceless and could not be accomplished in any other format.
--John C. O'Rear, RID, IIDA, EDAC, Sr. Technical Interior Designer – HKS
I love the energy at Metrocon. Interacting with the vendors and viewing their products is beyond stimulating. Great show.
--Mary Whitehurst, RID, ASID, President - M Whitehurst Designs
I thought METROCON was great, and I learned a lot!
--Karen Gaither, RID, IIDA, Sr. Design Specialist – G.L. Seaman & Company
I attend to get my CEUs to meet my registration requirements and to keep abreast of new product offerings. I have practiced for 38 years and love this show for reconnecting with reps and fellow designers.
Often we take for granted all the hard work and effort behind the scenes at Metrocon. But I think it is highly successful and helpful to our profession. It does influence my decisions in selecting furniture and finishes for our interiors. I think designers should encourage their favorite manufacturers, artisans and representative to show at Metrocon. Thank you again for your great work!
